NBCA is a regulated member of the primary health care providers in the province of New Brunswick.
Its act and by-laws were incorporated in Bill 45 in 1997.
The Association is in the process of developing its operational policies and standards of practice. Current and additional documents will be displayed here for your convenience.
It is made of 60 members, 35% females and 65% males, and some of its members practice in a husband and wife team.
Members are graduates of the accredited colleges in Canada and the United States.
NBCA's Mission Statement is: "To improve the health and wellness of New Brunswickers by promoting excellence in chiropractic practice and patient care".
NBCA has long been recognized for its leadership among sister associations. In 1990-91 its president Dr. Glenn C. Johnston was elected as the first national president of the Canadian Chiropractic Association (CCA) who came from eastern Canada since CCA was established in 1954. Only one other president from eastern Canada has received such recognition in 1999-2000.

In 2006, NBCA established the annual President Citation Award. This award is to recognize the outstanding contributions of one of NBCA members annually.
